Haddonfield Plays & Players

As You Like It

As You Like It

  • By William Shakespeare

One of Shakespeare's most beloved comedies about flirtation, friendship and mistaken identity, As You Like It is a lighthearted look at the fickle and passionate nature of love.

The play follows the journey of Rosalind, who escapes persecution from her uncle's court by fleeing into the magical Forest of Arden. Rosalind disguises herself as a young man and takes a walk of self-discovery. In this brave new world, she finds other court exiles—and the man she loves! Will wit and merriment overcome jealousy and deception? How will true love ever find its way, lost in the delightful madness of the forest?

Falling in love and learning who you are by acting the part are at the heart of this treasured Shakespeare classic in which romantic playfulness builds to a woodland wedding extravaganza. "All the world's a stage" in this delightful comedy. Come see Shakespeare brought to life on our stage!
